More with Less, Motivation As a result
of the motivation session, the participants are better able to: ·
Understand how people make decisions about how hard they will work
and how well they will perform. ·
Identify causes of motivation problems. ·
Identify options for solving motivation problems. ·
Reduce difficult motivation situations. The session focuses on why people behave the way that they do and how they are motivated. The applicable theories of motivation are reviewed and discussed in practical application terms. The most current theories of how motivation really works are discussed. Participants are given the opportunity to conduct a self-assessment to discover their primary motivators as well as define the 3 B’s that are necessary to achieve high motivation. The participants will gain experience in diagnosing motivational problems through mini-cases, as well as how to develop performance goals for individuals based on motivational outcomes. Through role-playing and analysis, the participants learn how to listen for and discover motivational factors, as well as alternatives for reducing motivation problems through total performance management and decision processes. |
