with Less, Leadership
As a result
of this session, participants are able to: ·
Assess their current leadership style. ·
Apply different styles of leadership, depending on the task and
the people being led. ·
Understand their bases of power and how to increase them. ·
Apply principle centered leadership. ·
Practice the role of leadership in total performance, including
how to deliver the one minute goals, praise and reprimands necessary to
effectively lead an area. This session focuses on what leadership is and the factors that determine leadership success. Participants are given the opportunity to assess their current leadership styles and learn how to apply different styles of leadership depending on the task and the maturity of the followers. The participants also learn about the five bases of power, their tendency toward the use of power and how to increase their bases of power. Principle centered leadership is discussed as well as practicing the role of leadership in total performance. Through role-playing, participants develop the skills necessary to quickly deliver goals, praise and reprimands. |
